- Sleep well, at least 7 hours a day.
- Walk hopefully daily and preferably in contact with nature.
- Avoid the consumption of tobacco, alcohol or drugs.
- Mediterranean style food. There is increasing scientific evidence that women who consume a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, fish and olive oil as the main source of fat, achieve pregnancy easier. and in men, with this type of diet, improvement in sperm motility has been evidenced.
On the emotional side:
- Avoid stress. implement practices such as meditation, yoga, dancing, that is, activities that produce joy and mental tranquility.
- Think very carefully before sharing with family, friends or acquaintances that you are going to undergo an assisted reproduction treatment, as it is very common that the anxiety and anguish of others ends up adding and this will not favor your treatment.
- Heal past experiences that have had to do with the desire to have a child. previous treatments, induced or spontaneous losses.
- The most important thing is that they are aware of what they are looking for: a child at home.
On the mental side:
- Eliminate thoughts of guilt, recriminations, such as; If I had done this before, I ran out of time… etc.
- Avoid sharing information about your treatment with people who are unaware of the procedures to avoid thoughts of others that do not contribute anything to their desire to be parents.
- In general terms, take care that thoughts, feelings, words and actions are in the same direction, being congruent with wanting to have a child.
