DUTIES OF PATIENTS
- Remember that you have a duty to:
- Provide the necessary truthful information required by the institution to carry out the procedures.
- Treat our staff, other patients and companions with respect.
- Request information on Fertivida’s operating rules and communication channels.
- Collaborate in complying with the rules and instructions established by Fertivida and inform if they do not understand or cannot follow the indication.
- Take care of the facilities and collaborate in the maintenance of the places used for their care.
- Take care of your valuable, personal items. The institution cannot assume responsibility for your personal items.
- Observe safety precautions and do not smoke inside the institution’s facilities.
- Use the complaint and suggestion channels.
- Sign the respective documents in case of acceptance and consent to the procedures.
- Demand that their rights be fulfilled.
- PATIENT RIGHTS
- Remember that you have the right to:
- Receive adequate care from trained personnel.
- Receive cordial and respectful treatment. The staff who attend to him must identify themselves and treat him with dignity, respecting his socio-cultural convictions, those of gender and those related to his privacy. The treatment must be extended to family members and companions.
- Receive clear, timely, and truthful information about the procedures that will be performed and the care that must be taken after care (if necessary). (If the patient is unwilling or unable to receive such information, it should be provided to family members or legally responsible persons.)
- Decide freely about their care, personally and without any form of pressure whether to accept or reject the diagnostic or therapeutic procedure offered, except when the urgency does not allow delays or when not following the treatment poses a risk to public health.
- To authorize or not in writing the conduct of research, experiments, or clinical trials.
- That the information provided is handled confidentially and in accordance with current legal regulations.
- To express verbally or in writing the comments, complaints, suggestions and/or congratulations derived from their care process.
- To be listened to and receive a response when they feel dissatisfied with the care provided.
DUTIES OF THE GAMETE DONOR:
Remember that you have a duty to:
- Accept the medical-legal conditions in force, so they will provide truthful information about their state of health.
- Attend to and comply with the medical indications received before, during and after the act of donation.
- To disseminate the transcendence and significance, both health and social, of the act of altruistic gamete donation.
- Accept the commitment to gratuitousness and altruism.
- To renounce to know the recipient of your donation.
GAMETE DONOR RIGHTS:
Remember that you have the right to:
- To be previously informed in writing of the medical-legal requirements or conditions in force and the consequent medical examination.
- Not to be rejected in their will as a donor for reasons other than the conditions mentioned above.
- To enjoy coverage that covers risks and accidents arising from the donation, including travel, which will consist of compensation in relation to expenses, inconvenience, time, medical disabilities or damages suffered by the donor.
- The time spent on the donation will be considered labor, given the social and civic interest of the act of donating.
- To be informed of the results of their exams corresponding to the selection process or controls during the donation process.
